|
| What
does your name Terranovus.net mean? |

ten days before the anniversary date of your subscription. |
| |
|
| Do
you offer a discount if I prepay my service for an extended
time? |
| |
We
believe that Internet users shouldn't have to prepay long periods
of time to receive a discount. Our service plans have the maximum
discount on them, in fact our monthly rates are lower than most
other ISPs' so called discount rates. |
| |
|
| Do
you offer 56K access? |
| |
Yes,
we offer V.90/V.92 56kbps access throughout all our service
areas. We also offer 128Kbps dual channel ISDN access in
select cities as well as DSL. |
| |
|
| What
is the highest connection speed supported on your dial up? |
| |
All
our dial up access plans are V.90/V.92 56kbps compatible.
The V.90 protocol is an asynchronous connection, capable
of achieving speeds of 53kbps downstream and 33.6kbps upstream.
Actual connection speed depends on your modem speed, modem
chipset, modem drivers, computer and operating system, as
well as telephone line conditions. Our customers routinely
connect at speeds above 50kbps, but in general a connection
greater than 40kbps is considered good. |

|
| Does
the unlimited access plan mean I can stay on all the time? |
| |
Subscribers
to "unlimited dial-up access" plans may make reasonable
use of the service without paying more based on hourly usage.
These plans are not intended to provide full-time connections,
however, and the service may be disconnected after a significant
period of inactivity or after sessions of excessive length.
Subscribers should keep the connection open only when actively
using it, and may not use any automatic method to avoid inactivity
disconnect. In addition, subscribers may not provide public
or commercial information over such dial-up connections. Terranovus.net
offers dedicated, always on high-speed DSL
access for such purposes. |
| |
|
| Do
I need a separate phone line to use the service? |
| |
No,
a separate phone line is only necessary if you want to keep
your original phone line clear to place or receive calls during
your on-line sessions. If you are a DSL or ISDN subscriber,
you can actually use your phone line while connected to the
net simultaneously. |
| |

you protect children from objectionable material on the Internet?
|
| |

I get busy signals when trying to get online? |
