Is DSL service available in my area?
 
Our DSL service area includes Central and Southwest Florida. Due to the distance limitations of DSL, it is not available in all areas. To verify availability, please call us toll free at 866-TNNI-NET and ask to speak with a DSL specialist.
   
How long does it take to install DSL?
  It takes us a total of five business days from the time you sign your contract.
   
Can I use my own DSL router?
  You can purchase the DSL router from us directly or provide your own so long as it meets our connectivity requirements. Please note that technical support for third party equipment will not be offered by Terranovus.net and must be obtained by the original vendor. Call us for a list of compatible equipment.
   
Do you install the ISDN line?
  ISDN lines must be contracted and installed by your local telephone system operator. Once installed, we can provide the Internet connectivity on it.
   
My DSL installation kit came with small phone plugs. What are these for?
  The small phone plugs that came with your DSL self installation kit are DSL line filters. You must attach these to all extensions on the same line as your DSL router.
   
Can I host my servers on your commercial accounts?
  Our dedicated commercial accounts are engineered specifically for this task. Many accounts come with at least one static IP. More can be ordered if needed.
   
Will I need a firewall?
  Our DSL routers have a robust firewall and NAT capabilities built right in. Whether or not you require an additional firewall depends on your network requirements. Please contact our technical support specialists to discuss your particular needs.
   
Can your monitoring service watch over all my servers.
  Our remote monitoring service can watch over as many devices as you wish. All that is needed is a public IP as well as rule allowing us through your firewall. Our monitoring service can monitor all services including DNS, Echo Server, FTP, Gopher, HTTP, IMAP4, SNMP, NNTP, POP-3, Radius, SMTP, Telnet, Time Server, and ICMP. Notifications can be sent via SMTP mail, TAP pager, cellular paging or beeper. Please note that the charge for remote monitoring is based on the number of IP devices you have, not the number of services.
   
What kind of computer do I need to access Terranovus.net?
 

All modern operating systems including Windows 95/98/ME, Windows NT/2000/XP, MacOS Classic, MacOS X, and all Unix based systems are able to connect to our service. We recommend the following as absolute minimum system configurations:

I have a small business with a network of 4 computers. I am not very network savvy. How hard is it to install the DSL router?
  Installing our DSL router is very easy. Our DSL router comes in a complete self installation kit with all the software, cables and filters required to get you set up in no time. Simply follow the step-by-step instructions included in the kit and you'll be up in now time. If you are not technically inclined, we can install all the hardware for you right in your own place of business.
   
What browser and e-mail software can I use on your service?
  You may use any browser and e-mail client that you wish to use.
   
Will your sign up software erase my address book and web page favorites?
  No, our software simply configures the software already on your PC to connect to us without deleting any files you may have on your computer.
   
Is the dial up software hard to install?

How big is the e-mail box that comes with my subscription?
  Your e-mail boxes have 50 megabytes of capacity each.
   
Can I access my e-mail from another provider?
  You can access your Terranovus.net e-mail from any computer anywhere in the world via our web based e-mail interface.
   
Do you protect me from e-mail viruses and junk mail?
